Columbus house fire leaves one dead
Columbus officials are investigating a deadly house fire.
The fire occurred at 2705 Peabody Avenue during the early morning hours on Sunday, November 17, 2024.
According to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan, 54-year-old Yancer Horton was found inside the house deceased.
Bryan said Horton was homeless and frequently stayed at the vacant home. Bryan confirmed this was the fourth fire overnight.
