Calvary Christian School closed Monday following threats made
Calvary Christian School has announced their campus will be closed on Monday, January 13, 2025.
In an email sent to parents, the school received information of a student who received an anonymous online threat to the school.
“We take these situations very seriously, so we immediately contacted law enforcement and alerted our CCS security team,” the school announced.
Following law enforcement communication, the school said the recent cyber threat was deemed credible and law enforcement have requested more time to complete their investigation. “I am thankful to report that no CCS students are considered suspects,” the school’s headmaster, Jonathan North, said in the e-mail.
“To ensure the safety of our campus we are taking the appropriate measures,” Norton said in the e-mail. “Should you see a law enforcement presence on our campus, please know they are working in conjunction with our security team until the investigation is closed.”
Sunday night, the school notified staff and parents the school would be closed on Monday.
This remains a developing story.
