1 dead, 1 in custody after Lanett incident
An investigation is underway Thursday after one person died during an incident in the city of Lanett.
The investigation began on Thursday, February 06, 2025, at approximately 2:20 PM, after Lanett Emergency Medical Services responded to a report of an unresponsive person in the 800 block of 13th Street South. The unresponsive person, only identified by law enforcement as a male, was pronounced deceased from his injuries.
“During the investigation, a suspect was identified as 23-year-old Demetrius Dion Trammell,” police said. Trammell was located and placed under arrest for the alleged murder of the victim.
