Elderly man seriously injured in domestic dispute in LaGrange
An elderly man is recovering from his serious injuries following a domestic dispute this week in LaGrange.
The domestic dispute occurred on February 25, 2025, at about 1:55 PM, in the 200 block of Taylor Road. As officers arrived on the scene, they located a 70-year-old victim sustaining multiple serious injuries to various parts of his body.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and subsequently sent to an Atlanta area hospital to receive further treatment.
“The Criminal Investigations Division immediately responded and began an investigation,” police said. Cody Toney was taken into custody on February 26, 2025 and charged with Aggravated Battery and Exploitation of an Elder.
Toney was on parole at the time of his arrest, police added. Toney’s mugshot was not sent in the press release.
