Kangaroo caught after hopping across busy I-85, causing crash
A Kangaroo is now in custody after causing a crash on busy I-85 near the Macon-Lee County line.
The search began after multiple callers called 911 to report a kangaroo hopping through traffic between the 45 and 46 mile marker on Interstate 85.
At least one crash involving a small passenger car/van occurred in the southbound lanes after Kangaroo made contact with the vehicle, according to state police radio traffic. North and southbound lanes of travel were blocked as the manhunt was conducted.
