One person deceased in accident on I-185 at Williams Road in Columbus
Columbus police and investigators are on the scene of a late Friday afternoon single motor vehicle crash at Interstate 185 northbound near Williams Road which left one person deceased.
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan confirms 42-year-old Detrius Brandon Coleman was pronounced deceased at 4:05 P.M. at Piedmont Columbus Regional Emergency Room due to blunt force trauma from the accident.
Coleman was reportedly driving on Interstate 185 between Smith Road and Williams Road when he drove off the roadway and struck a tree head on, Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan said. Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan believes a medical episode may have occurred which caused the crash.
