Two dead in Thursday evening accident on Hwy. 165 in Russell County

A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:12 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, has claimed two lives.

Adrian D. Hillin, 44, of Annabella, Utah, was fatally injured when the 2020 Nissan Altima he was driving was collided with a 2017 Nissan Altima driven by Stacy L. James, 50, of Fort Mitchell.

The Altima driven by Hillin left the roadway and struck a building after the initial collision. Hillin was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Hillin’s passengers, Kenzie Hillin, 41, also of Annabella, Utah, and a juvenile, were injured and transported to an area hospital.

James was transported to Piedmont Medical Center in Columbus, Ga., where she was later pronounced deceased. The crash occurred on Alabama 208 at the intersection of Alabama 165, approximately 10 miles south of Fort Mitchell, in Russell County.
