Three more suspects arrested in first homicide of 2024 in Columbus

Columbus police say three additional people have been arrested in connection to the first homicide of this year in the city.

The homicide occurred on January 8, 2024, at an apartment complex on Fort Benning Road. 39-year-old William Thomas Brown was killed.

Terrell Thomas was arrested in Atlanta, Georgia by Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit and South Fulton County Police Department for his outstanding warrant for the murder and will be extradited back to Columbus. Cameron Davis and Jquan Williams were both arrested in Columbus, Georgia by Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit and the US Marshal’s Services for their outstanding warrants in the murder and will both have a hearing on Saturday, April 20, 2024 and rescheduled for Wednesday, April 24, 2024.

The first suspect arrested was 19-year-old Devaris Binn and the second suspect arrested was 19-year-old Trinity Farley.

19-year-old Javon Green remains wanted in the murder case. The investigation into the murder of William Brown continues.
