Greg Countryman has been re-elected for the position of Sheriff of Muscogee County.

Countryman was running against Mark LaJoye for the second time since 2020.

Countryman released a statement saying:

I want to first thank God for tonight’s victory and my amazing family for sticking by me during this campaign season. To my campaign team, thank you for your hard work and dedication. I want to thank the Citizens of Muscogee County for their support and trust in my ability to serve as their Sheriff. Thank you for renewing my contract for another four years to serve as your Sheriff!

I also want to thank the hard-working men and women of the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office for allowing me to work with and for them. I am looking forward to greater things to come in 2025 and beyond!
