A 19-year-old female was airlifted to an Atlanta-area hospital after an early morning shooting in LaGrange, according to the LaGrange Police Department.
Police say officers responded to 106 Revis Street at approximately 1:06 a.m. on May 12, 2026, in reference to a person who had been shot.
When officers arrived, they located the 19-year-old female suffering from a gunshot wound. Authorities said the suspect, Ja Marcus Hall, was still on scene when officers arrived.
Officers immediately began rendering aid until personnel with the LaGrange Fire Department and Troup AMR arrived on scene. The victim was later airlifted to a hospital in the Atlanta area for additional treatment.
Hall was transported to the police department for questioning while detectives continued their investigation. During the investigation, detectives determined Hall was in possession of a stolen firearm at the time of the incident. The firearm was recovered by investigators.
As a result of the investigation, Hall has been charged with:
- Aggravated Assault
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Tampering With Evidence
- Giving False Statements
- Theft by Receiving Stolen Property
Police say the investigation remains active.
