Two arrested in Columbus drug bust

Columbus police have arrested two people and seized a significant amount of illegal drugs, drug-related items, vehicles, and cash.

The arrests and seizures of items occurred on November 24, 2024, after the Columbus Police Department’s Special Operations Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the 3800 block of Gurley Drive as part of an investigation into methamphetamine distribution.

6.2 pounds of methamphetamine, which has a street value of $127,912.50, was seized. 13.5 ounces of fentanyl, which has a street value of $38,400.00, was seized. 100 grams of psilocybin liquid, which has a street value of $1,000.00, was seized. 6.2 grams of cocaine, which has a street value of $310.00, was seized. Alprazolam, clonazepam, acetaminophen/codeine, and ecstasy was also seized.

A 2022 Dodge Durango, a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, and $3,010 in cash was also seized in the bust.

According to police, two suspects were arrested as a result of this operation.

Logan Phillips, 38, is charged with trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking fentanyl, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of alprazolam with intent to distribute, possession of psilocybin, and possession of drug-related objects.

Gregory Patton, 54, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of psilocybin, and possession of drug-related objects.
