Opelika police are investigating after one person was killed and two others were injured in a late night Thursday shooting.

Police say they responded to a shooting in the 700 block of Herndon Street around 10:40 P.M. on July 10, 2025, where they located multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds. 

One victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, while two additional victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment.

18-year-old Kentravious Rashaun Lark from Tuskegee, AL, was arrested for murder, attempted murder, burglary, first degree, and robbery, first degree.
