A teenage female has been shot and killed along Bay Avenue in Columbus.

The shooting occurred around 11 P.M. on Friday, September 5, 2025, near 1050 Bay Avenue – just across from 11th and Bay restaurant, and next to the zip-line tower.

Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan has confirmed 18-year-old Kalielah Davis was shot and taken by Columbus Fire and EMS to Piedmont Columbus Regional. Davis was pronounced deceased in the emergency room at 11:26 P.M.

A dark sedan has been seen covered in gunshot defects, along with several windows of the vehicle being damaged.

Bryan has confirmed Davis, along with two to three other girls, were inside the car when gunfire rang out. Crime scene investigators have been seen placing several flags to mark shell casings in the area.

Davis’s parents have been notified. At this time, it is unclear if any arrests have been made. The Columbus Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit are investigating the deadly shooting.
