Columbus police are on the scene of a reported shooting investigation.

The scene is taking place on Oates Avenue near 44th Street. CNAW2News.com was first made aware of the incident around 2:30 A.M. on Saturday, January 3, 2026.

Images sent into CNAW2News.com appear to show a patient being loaded into the back of a Community Ambulance. The patient’s condition is unknown at this time.

An active police presence remains on scene.
