A Harris County baseball coach was killed in a side-by-side crash this weekend.
The crash, which involved a side-by-side rolling over, occurred on a private property off of Hamilton-Mulberry Grove Road during the evening hours of Saturday, January 24, 2026.

Harris County Coroner Joe Weldon said the crash led to the passenger, identified as Anthony “Tony” Dimitri, of Waverly Hall, receiving injuries. Dimitri was pronounced deceased from those injuries.
Dimitri was a husband and father of two kids, and served as a teacher, assistant athletic director, and head coach of baseball.
The driver of the side-by-side, identified as Darrell Deon Guthrey, 44, was arrested by law enforcement and booked into the county jail on charges of felony homicide by vehicle in the first degree and driving under the influence of alcohol.
