A Lee County businessman has announced his candidacy for the Lee County Coroner race.

Brian Allen, who has owned and operated a local business since 1999, announced his candidacy for the position on social media.
Alongside his business, Allen worked as a reserve deputy, deputy sheriff and investigator at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for nearly a decade
Allen said owning the business gave him “deep roots and a strong understanding of the people we serve.”
Allen said as an investigator, he worked closely with the late, longtime coroner Bill Harris.
“That experience gave me firsthand insight into the responsibilities of the Coroner’s Office and reinforced the importance of professionalism, accuracy, and compassion—especially during the most difficult moments for families,” Allen said.
Allen said if he is elected, he plans to build on the positive progress already made in the Lee County Coroner’s Office and also introduce new outreach initiatives to better serve and educate our community.
Allen is running against Daniel Sexton, who has been the coroner of the county for three and a half years. To read about Sexton’s candidacy, click here.
