UPDATE: All watches and warnings for the counties in our east Alabama, west Georgia coverage area have been CANCELED. NO SEVERE WEATHER THREAT.
Continue to use caution as crews work multiple outages, road closures and trees and power lines down.
A tornado watch has been issued for our entire coverage area – Barbour, Chambers, Lee, Macon, Russell, and Tallapoosa counties in east Alabama and Chattahoochee, Harris, Meriwether, Muscogee, and Harris counties in west Georgia.
The watch, issued by the National Weather Service, was issued around 12:32 a.m. eastern time and is in effect until 8 a.m. eastern time.
A couple tornadoes are possible, along with damaging wind gusts up to 60-70 MPH and hail.
