Columbus police are on the scene of a crash Wednesday night.

The crash occurred on Victory Drive near 30th Avenue. The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

The crash involved a silver SUV with front end damage and a pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital and was pronounced dead.

Police have blocked off the roadway while motor squad officers and crime scene investigators work the scene.

Victory Drive is blocked from North Lumpkin Road to 30th Avenue heading northbound. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
