Law enforcement sources have confirmed to CNAW2News.com a man is in custody following a manhunt across West Georgia following at least two attacks.

Earlier today, around 9 a.m., a shooting happened on Battle Forrest Drive in Decatur, Georgia that left a woman, who was walking her dog, shot multiple times, according to 11Alive’s Cody Alcorn. The woman died from her injuries.

Shortly after, a second attack occurred. The location of that attack is unknown.

Following the attacks, a Be-On-The-Lookout was issued for numerous agencies, including Coweta County Sheriff’s Office, Troup County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Department of Public Safety after the suspect’s vehicle – a silver Jetta – hit on FLOCK cameras along Interstate 85.

Law enforcement sources say the suspect, described in the BOLO as a black male, mid 30’s, 5’6, wearing a bubble coat, black hoodie and black pants, was detained.

Sources say Georgia State Patrol units conducted a felony traffic on Upper Big Springs Road near the Interstate 185 overpass in Troup County.

11Alive’s Cody Alcorn says the man had been targeting women.

CNAW2News.com has reached out to the Georgia State Patrol for comment on the situation. This is a developing story.
