Columbus police are investigating a shooting overnight.

The shooting and heavy police presence was reported to CNAW2News.com around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. The shooting occurred on Newick Drive in between Mill Branch Road and Cordova Road.

The scene is located in a residential area of east Columbus.

CNAW2News.com is told one victim was transported to a nearby hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Crime scene tape cordoned off the street while crime scene investigators and patrol officers investigated. The street is now open.
