A woman wanted in connection to a deadly shooting at a Phenix City hotel earlier this week has been arrested in Muscogee County, according to authorities.

The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday that the agency’s Collaborative Intelligence Group, alongside the Phenix City Police Department, located and arrested wanted fugitive Tomarius Murphy on May 15, 2026.

Authorities said Murphy was wanted in connection with a murder that occurred in Phenix City on May 11. In addition to the murder investigation, Murphy also had outstanding warrants through the Phenix City Police Department for Felony Hindering an Investigation and Tampering with Evidence.

Officials said Murphy was taken into custody in Muscogee County without incident and transported to the Muscogee County Jail, where she is awaiting extradition back to Alabama.

The arrest stems from a homicide investigation launched Monday after officers with the Phenix City Police Departmentresponded to the Colonial Inn, located at 905 Highway 280 Bypass, in reference to a shooting inside one of the hotel rooms.

When officers arrived, they discovered Harvey Lee Walker dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

Following what police described as a thorough investigation, investigators identified multiple suspects connected to the case.

Authorities previously announced the arrest of Tionne Carreker, who was taken into custody by the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office in Junction City, Georgia, without incident. Carreker was charged with Capital Murder and is expected to be extradited to Phenix City.

During the investigation, LaVincent Harris was also arrested and charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence and Possession of Marijuana First Degree.

Police said another suspect, Tisha Gibson, remains wanted on an outstanding Capital Murder warrant. Investigators continue searching for her whereabouts.

The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office said it will continue working with partner agencies “towards making Muscogee County a safer place to work and live for all citizens.”
