A Russell County woman is facing at least one charge following a deadly crash earlier this year.

Rose Wray, 34, was arrested and booked into the Russell County Jail on a charge of murder-reckless on May 27, 2026, at around 4:19 p.m. eastern time.

The arrest comes nearly two months after a deadly crash on Pine Ridge Trail left her 12-year-old son, Allen Wray, deceased on March 28, 2026. At the time of the crash, Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr. confirmed Allen was the passenger in the vehicle riding with a parent.

Allen played for the Russell County Youth Football and is remembered as “Big AL” by all those who loved him in the community.
