Multiple Phenix City first responders are on the scene Wednesday evening following a semi-truck rollover crash along U.S. Highway 280 Bypass near 11th Street.

The crash happened around 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

According to information from the scene, an 18-wheeler overturned in the roadway. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear at this time.

We are told the driver was able to exit the 18-wheeler. The driver’s exact condition is currently unknown.

All southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 280 Bypass are blocked from 11th Street to 13th Street as emergency crews work at the scene.

Multiple towing companies are also on scene and are working to get the overturned 18-wheeler back into an upright position.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area and seek an alternate route while the roadway remains blocked.
