Multiple first responders were dispatched to a Friday afternoon crash in the Beauregard community of Lee County.
The two-vehicle crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. Central Time on Friday, September 18, 2026, near the intersection of Alabama Highway 169 and Lee Road 146.
Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Beauregard Volunteer Fire Department and EAMC EMS personnel, and Alabama Law Enforcement Agency state troopers responded to the scene.
Officials say two people suffered injuries, with one patient being taken by ambulance. The second patient had to be extricated from a vehicle and was later flown by Lifesaver 3 to Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown Campus.
Their exact conditions were not immediately known, but we are told there were moderate injuries.
The roadway was closed for some time while first responders were on the scene, but has since been reopened.
