Kentucky State Police are investigating a trooper-involved shooting on Interstate 65 in Warren County and are asking the public to help locate a vehicle that may be connected to the incident.
According to Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green, the shooting occurred Monday, Sept. 28, on I-65 in Warren County.
KSP is searching for a bluish-gray Honda Civic that was present during the trooper-involved shooting near mile marker 38. The vehicle is believed to have an Alabama temporary tag, TN018596.
A subsequent Blue Alert issued by Kentucky State Police said a suspect wanted in connection with a “severe attack” on law enforcement may be in the Honda Civic.
Authorities consider the individual armed and dangerous.
The vehicle was last reported near I-65 northbound around the 75-mile marker, according to the alert.
Anyone who sees the vehicle or someone believed to be connected to the incident is urged not to approach and to call 911 immediately.
Kentucky State Police have not released additional details about the circumstances of the shooting or the condition of the trooper as of this report. The investigation remains active.
