Lee County first responders are currently on the scene of a structure fire in the Beauregard community.

The fire is happening on Lee Road 712, which is off of Lee Road 117. The fire was first reported to CNAW2News.com around 6:50 p.m. central standard time.

Beauregard Volunteer Fire Department, Salem Volunteer Fire Department, Southwest Volunteer Fire Department, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, EAMC ETS, and other crews are on the scene and still responding.

We are told the fire involved a storage building and the building had heavy smoke and flames billowing out,

We have confirmed a fatality occurred in the fire. This is a developing story.
