A first responder presence has been ongoing Friday evening at a marina in Columbus.

The presence has been at the Lake Oliver Marina since 6:40 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026.

Multiple rescue boats and the Dive and Rescue team were spotted on the scene, along with an ambulance and a fire engine.

Columbus Fire and EMS Division Chief Daniel Macon said personnel responded to reports of a flipped boat.

Officials remain investigating.
