$15K reward offered in triple homicide at Grantville shooting range, ATF announces

CNAW Newsroom —
$15K reward offered in triple homicide at Grantville shooting range, ATF announces

The investigation into the heinous triple murder of a shooting range owner, his wife, and grandson at Lock, Stock, and Barrel Shooting Range in Grantville Friday evening.

The grim crime scene was discovered shortly after 8PM by Coweta County Coroner Richard Hawk after he realized his parents, Tommy and Evelyn Hawk, and son, Luke, hadn’t come home. All three inside were shot and killed by unknown individual(s) who also took 40 weapons and the security DVR during the robbery around 5:30-6:00 PM. Georgia Bureau of Investigations, The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Coweta County Sheriff’s Office, and Grantville Police Department are all investigating.

On Saturday, The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the City of Grantville, and the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the trade association for the firearms industry, announced a combined reward of up to $15,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the triple murder, armed robbery and theft of firearms from Lock, Stock and Barrel Shooting Range Inc., a Federal firearms licensee in Granville, Georgia.

“ATF and our law enforcement partners will work tirelessly to bring the killer(s) to justice” said Atlanta Field Division Special Agent in Charge Benjamin P. Gibbons. “The brutality of these senseless murders along with the fact that these killer(s) have acquired additional firearms make solving this case our top priority.”

ATF is soliciting the public’s assistance with any information that leads to those responsible for these crimes.

Anyone with information about these crimes should contact ATF at 1-888-ATF-TIPS (888-283-8477), email [email protected], or through its website at http://www.atf.gov/contact/atf-tips. Tips can be submitted anonymously using the Reportit® app or by visiting http://www.reportit.com.

ATF is offering a reward of up to $5,000, which will be matched by the City of Granville and NSSF for a total reward of up to $15,000. This reward is part of a larger national cooperative initiative between the NSF and ATF in which NSF matches ATF rewards in cases involving the theft of firearms from federally licensed firearms retailers.
