CNAW Newsroom —
19-year-old female killed, another injured after shooting at Wild Bill’s Jewelry and Pawn in Columbus

A 19-year-old female is dead and another person is in an induced coma after a late Monday night shooting in the city of Columbus,

Police and medics were on scene of the shooting shortly after 11:00 P.M. at Wild Bill’s Pawn and Jewelry, which is located at 3475 Buena Vista Road, where they found two victims,

Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan confirmed 19-year-old Nevaeh Nevels was pronounced deceased by Deputy Coroner Dustin Harrelson at 11:47 P.M. due to multiple gunshot wounds. She turned 19 over a month ago on July 2nd. The next of kin for Nevels was notified.

The second victim is still alive but reportedly in an induced coma at a medical facility. Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan tells CNAW2NEWS.com, “It is believed that the suspect allegedly chased the victims down Buena Vista Road, the victims turned down Parkchester Drive, they then took a right on Mill Road, which then led them to turning into Wild Bill’s, clipping the curb and spun out, and the suspect got out of his car and opened fire.” At this time, detectives have not made any arrests.
