A 19-year-old from Salem has died after a single-vehicle crash in Russell County.

The crash, which involved a 2022 Mack MD6 truck, occurred around 6:38 a.m., on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the intersection of Howard Road at Greenburt Road — which is located 20 miles south of Phenix City city limits — in Russell County.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said Corbin Lendy Regan, 19, was fatally injured when the truck he was driving left the roadway, struck an embankment, a utility pole and overturned.

“Regan was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene,” authorities added.
