An arrest has been made in connection with the fatal shooting of an 11-year-old Columbus boy, according to Muscogee County Jail records.

Jail records show 17-year-old Jordan King was booked into the Muscogee County Jail at 5:45 a.m. Friday, July 10.

King is charged with murder, possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies and possession of a pistol or revolver by a person under 18 years old (first offense).

The investigation remains active.
