Atlanta man killed in LaGrange shooting after leaving concert Sunday night

CNAW Newsroom —
Atlanta man killed in LaGrange shooting after leaving concert Sunday night

A deadly shooting is under investigation after detectives from Atlanta and LaGrange were alerted of the shooting death.

Atlanta Police contacted LaGrange Police Detectives at 8PM on Sunday regarding a person who had been dropped off at Grady Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound at approximately 1:00am Sunday morning. The subject died as a result of the injury and Atlanta Police indicated that they had received unconfirmed information that the subject had been shot in LaGrange, Georgia at Club Tru.

Atlanta Police were unable to confirm where the shooting had occurred at that time based on a lack witness cooperation, but on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at approximately 5:00pm, LaGrange Police Detectives in conjunction with Atlanta Police Homicide Detectives determined that shooting occurred on Lafayette Parkway in LaGrange.

The initial investigation revealed that the victim, identified as Nasr Midian Kahenti Atun El Bebley-Calvin, age 18, of Atlanta, Georgia, had been in LaGrange with a performer (Cold Hearted Savage) and others who were performing at Club TRU located on E Depot Street late Saturday night. After the performance, the victim along with several others, left the club in multiple vehicles to travel back to Atlanta. As the group was traveling East on Lafayette Parkway, shots were fired from an unknown vehicle into the vehicle occupied by the Bebley-Calvin and four others.

The victim was struck in the head as the bullets entered the vehicle. Bebley-Calvin was driven to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment and was pronounced deceased soon after his arrival. It has been determined that the performer, Cold Hearted Savage, is employed by 4pf music label which is associated with Criminal Street Gangs and Criminal Street Gang Activity in Atlanta, Georgia.
