The incident occurred around 7 P.M. CDT on Sunday, October 6, 2024, in front of the Bridge Church on Lee Road 270. The church was nearing the end of its fall festival when the incident occurred.

The woman, now identified as 59-year-old Tonya K. Moore, was taken to East Alabama Medical Center and pronounced dead 50 minutes after the crash, according to Lee County Coroner Daniel Sexton.
