The fires occurred late Sunday night in the 5600 block of Hunter Road, at the now-abandoned Ballard Way apartments, and a home in the 4700 block of Old Macon Road — both on the east end of the city.
Columbus Fire and EMS Deputy Chief Daniel Macon confirmed no one was residing at the apartment complex, but five people were displaced from their home on Old Macon Road.
The investigation into both fires remain ongoing.
