The 6th Annual Pepsi Chattahoochee International Pro Rodeo has announced schedule changes for this weekend as Hurricane Isaias threatens the region with potentially hazardous weather.
Organizers announced that the rodeo will still take place Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, but with adjusted start times due to the approaching storm.
Saturday's event will take place with gates opening at 5 p.m. and the rodeo beginning at 8 p.m. On Sunday, gates will open at noon, with the rodeo scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
The event was originally scheduled for October 9-10, but the updated schedule shifts the performances to October 10-11.
Organizers acknowledged the weather concerns while expressing their commitment to holding the event, thanking the community for its patience, flexibility and continued support.
The schedule changes come as Hurricane Isaias strengthens over the Gulf, bringing concerns about heavy rainfall, strong winds, flooding and possible tornadoes across parts of East Alabama and West Georgia.
Attendees are encouraged to monitor official weather alerts and check the rodeo's communications for any additional changes before traveling to the event.
