This week investigators returned to the property at 238 Lower Lovelace Road “to once again search for any remains of Mrs. Evans,” authorities said.

A search of a small, swamp-like body of water on an adjacent piece of property was conducted by investigators, along with heavy machinery and personnel from the Troup County Road Department and a specially trained cadaver dog.

“After two days of searching, unfortunately still no remains have been found,” the sheriff’s office added.

This case remains an open case and authorities encourage anyone who remembers anything from November 10, 2017, related to Mrs. Evans, to please contact the Troup County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 706-883-1616.
