Columbus man killed in multi-car pileup on Forrest Road

Columbus police and Fire/EMS personnel are on the scene of a motor vehicle collision with multiple vehicles Monday.
The collision, which involved more than three vehicles, occurred near the intersection of Reese Road at Forrest Road in the east side of the city.
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan was summoned to the scene and pronounced 39-year-old Marcus Knox deceased. Knox was the driver of one of the vehicles and was not wearing the seatbelt, according to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan. The Columbus Police Department’s Motor Squad is investigating the crash.
