The Columbus Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 57-year-old woman who was last seen earlier this week near a grocery store in Columbus.
According to the Columbus Police Department, Shannon Mooney was last seen around 8 a.m. on Monday, November 2, 2026, in the area of Peabody Avenue near Hometown Grocery.
The missing person report was received by police on Thursday, November 5. The department’s Special Victims’ Unit is investigating.
Mooney is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing around 100 pounds. She has blue eyes and dyed bleach-blonde hair. Her clothing at the time she was last seen is unknown.
Police are asking anyone who may have information about Mooney or her whereabouts to contact 911, the Columbus Police Department’s Special Victims’ Unit at 706-225-3449, or lead investigator CPL Emily Stice at 706-225-4366.
