CPD’s Violent Crimes Unit took the lead on the investigation, which revealed that an after-prom party was taking place nearby at the time of the shooting, with approximately 100 people in attendance. Despite the large crowd, investigators have faced challenges as many witnesses have come forward stating that they did not see the events unfold.

As the investigation continues, the Columbus Police Department is hopeful that, with the community’s assistance, justice will be served in this case.
