Tiffnay Hamilton, 38 years old, was arrested after allegedly stealing Medic 10 ambulance, which is housed at Station 10, on Benning Drive off of Victory Drive.

Law enforcement from Columbus Police Department and Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office then became involved in a chase with Hamilton in the ambulance.

The chase ended at Brookstone Boulevard and Bristol Boulevard where Hamilton was taken into custody by officers. Her total bond amount for all the charges adds up to $129,000.

This is the third time since 2021 where an ambulance was stolen. On October 11, 2021, an ambulance was stolen from the emergency bay at Piedmont Columbus Regional, and was later recovered. On May 16, 2022, an ambulance was stolen from the emergency bay at Piedmont Columbus Regional, and was later recovered.
