Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan confirmed 31-year-old Erica Blascom Anderson, of Indiana, was pronounced dead. Anderson was working as a lecturer in the Department of Theatre & Dance at Columbus State University.

Bryan said, “the details surrounding the shooting has led them to determine it to be an accidental shooting the led to her untimely and unfortunate death.”

Anderson will be sent for an autopsy at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
