A driver was arrested following a wrong-way crash that left at least two vehicles involved on Interstate 185 in Harris County.

According to preliminary details from Georgia State Patrol, troopers responded to the crash on October 1, 2026, on Interstate 185 southbound near mile marker 19.

The investigation determined that a gray 2020 Toyota Highlander, driven by 62-year-old Kevin Casey, was traveling north in the southbound lanes of I-185 when it collided head-on with a blue 2026 Hyundai sedan.

The Hyundai was driven by 38-year-old Altrazo Nickerson.

Troopers determined Casey was under the influence at the time of the crash and he was subsequently placed under arrest.

The southbound lanes of I-185 were closed for approximately 45 minutes while troopers investigated the crash and crews worked to clear the scene.

The investigation remains active, and the information released by Georgia State Patrol is considered preliminary. Additional details may be released as the investigation continues.
