    Elderly woman struck by driver in Valley Walmart parking lot

    An elderly female is being treated for her injuries after being hit in the parking lot of a Valley superstore.

    The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Walmart Super-center on 20th Avenue in the Valley community of Chambers County.

    According to Valley Police, a 50-year-old male was arrested in connection to the incident and charged with driving under the influence.

    The 70 year female pedestrian who was struck by the vehicle was alert at the time and was transported to East Alabama Medical Center for treatment.
