Faulk’s Auto Repair & Wrecker Service planning to reopen soon after severe fire Sunday night

CNAW Newsroom —
Faulk’s Auto Repair & Wrecker Service planning to reopen soon after severe fire Sunday night

Faulk’s Auto Repair and Wrecker Service plans to resume operations soon after a fire that severely damaged their main building.

Members of the Crawford Volunteer Fire Department, Ladonia Volunteer Fire Department, Uchee Creek Volunteer Fire Department, and Smiths Station Fire Protection District responded to a large industrial building fire with flames and smoke visible at 29 39th Avenue around 8 P.M. on Sunday, March 9, 2025. CARE Ambulance and the Phenix City Police Department also responded to the scene.

“We are heartbroken by this loss, but our commitment to serving our customers remains unwavering,” said Kinsley Lively, vice president. “We appreciate the outpouring of support and patience as we work to rebuild and continue providing the high-quality service our customers expect.”

The company’s team is still assessing the damage of the fire, but confirmed that due to the dedication of their team and the support of the community, they expect to resume operations within the next few days.

“During this brief transition, we will continue assisting customers with our wrecker services and hopefully have a temporary building set up within the next week for our auto parts department,” Lively added.

We are being told the company’s dog was rescued from the building and is OK, but unfortunately, a second dog passed away and a citizen suffered a burn wound to the hand/arm. The citizen was not hospitalized.

Fire crews were able to leave the scene after containing and extinguishing the fire around 2 A.M on Monday, March 10, 2025. Firefighters were then called back out four hours later when the fire rekindled. The fire has since been extinguished.

Lively, along with the rest of the company, thanked Crawford, Ladonia, Uchee Creek, and Smiths Station firefighters for their quick response, first responders, and community members who have offered their help and support. The company looks forward to reopening soon and coming back stronger than ever.
