Hogansville man arrested by law enforcement Friday morning

CNAW Newsroom —
Hogansville man arrested by law enforcement Friday morning

The Hogansville Police Department announced a significant development in the fight against child exploitation in their city and the state of Georgia.

The department’s investigators with assistance from the Georgia State Patrol Swat team arrested 64-year-old Stephen Hall, 64, on charges related to the possession of child pornography.

The arrest of Mr. Hall follows a diligent investigation conducted by the Hogansville Police Department.

“Through their meticulous efforts, investigators were able to uncover substantial evidence implicating Mr. Hall in the procurement of illicit materials involving minors,” Hogansville Police Chief Jeffrey Sheppard said.

Mr. Hall was arrested in the early hours of Friday morning at his residence without incident during the execution of a search warrant, which was executed by the Georgia State Patrol Swat Team.

“Child pornography is a heinous crime that inflicts lasting harm on its victims and undermines the safety and well-being of our communities,” Sheppard added. “The Hogansville Police Department is committed to aggressively pursuing individuals who engage in such reprehensible behavior, and we will use all available resources to ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice.”

Police urge anyone with information related to this case or other instances of child exploitation to come forward and assist law enforcement in our efforts to protect vulnerable individuals and hold offenders accountable.

“However, we assure the public that we will continue to prioritize the safety of our community and work tirelessly to combat all forms of exploitation,” Sheppard said at the end of the release.
