A child and his mother have passed away after a Sunday afternoon house fire in north Russell County.

The fire occurred at a home on Meadowwood Drive just around noon on Sunday, September 15, 2024. Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr. says 28-year-old Tysha Musick and her 15-month-old son Scott Musick were pronounced deceased at 1:52 P.M.
