According to the Southwest Fire Department (SWFD), crews were dispatched to Macon County for a mutual-aid request involving a hunter reportedly trapped in a tree.
Southwest Fire responded with two apparatus and eight personnel. Working alongside the Macon and Lee County Sheriff’s Offices, firefighters narrowed down the hunter’s approximate location.
Once in the area, crews used multiple thermal imaging cameras to search the forest and locate the hunter.
