Investigators still searching for clues in 2019 Columbus park homicide

CNAW Newsroom —
Investigators still searching for clues in 2019 Columbus park homicide

Columbus police investigators are still searching for more clues and the suspect in a 2019 homicide at a park.

The homicide occurred back on April 24, 2019 around 5:00 a.m. The homicide victim, identified as Kimberly Tarver, left the Marathon Gas Station in the 3400 block of Veterans Parkway and then walked into the park on 33rd Street.  Ms. Tarver never came out of the park due to being shot and killed.

“Further investigation revealed that Ms. Tarver was followed into the park by an unknown male subject,” police said. “The subject would be in the park for just a few moments before leaving the park.”

Security camera video of the subject was released back in summer of 2019, which showed a Black male, approx. 25 – 40 years of age, 5’8” – 6’ tall, approx. 160 – 200 lbs, with facial hair, and wearing dark jacket, blue jean pants, black shoes/boots, and a green ball cap .

If you have any information on Ms. Tarver’s death, contact Corporal S. Hayes at 706-225-4268 or [email protected].
