An 18-year-old from LaGrange has been arrested following a law enforcement search after an armed robbery on Monday morning.

Deputies with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 24 Pyne Road (Dollar General) regarding an Armed Robbery that had just occurred on October 3, 2022, at 9:53 AM.

The sheriff’s office said a black male dressed in all black, entered the store and demanded money from the clerk, and fired two rounds from a handgun toward the ceiling inside the store. The suspect then fled from the store on foot in an unknown direction of travel.

Viewing camera footage from an adjacent business, Investigators were able to identify a vehicle that the suspect drove to the location as a silver or gray pick-up truck and that information was posted on social media.
