CNAW Newsroom —
LaGrange police seeking public’s help after cyclist seriously injured in hit-and-run

A serious injury hit-and-run crash is under investigation by LaGrange police.

A LaGrange Police Department sergeant was driving in the area of Handley and Polk streets around 10:15 P.M. on June 21, 2025, when he discovered a severely injured cyclist. The cyclist, later identified as 70-year-old Earl Davis, had been struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.

Following the report, the LPD Traffic Division initiated an investigation. Police later determined that Davis was riding westbound on Handley Street near Dunson Street when he was hit by a 2003 gold Honda Accord. The vehicle was making a left turn and struck Davis on his bicycle. The driver, identified as 44-year-old Andrew Moss, fled the scene after the collision.

Davis sustained serious injuries, including broken ribs, and was admitted to West Georgia Medical Center.

The LaGrange Police Department is requesting the public’s help. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Corporal Haire at 706-883-2603. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Tip411 via app, online portal, or by texting LAGRANGE to 847411.
